TEXAS ASLA STUDENT AWARDS

The Texas Chapter of ASLA 2019 State Conference will be held in Irving, Texas at the IrvingConference Center, April 24-26, 2019.

*Entries must be submitted by 11:59 pm on February 22, 2019. (Due to high volume of last day submissions, we encourage you to submit your work prior to the deadline to avoid long wait time for uploading projects.) Winning entries will be displayed during the conference.

Student Eligibility

Currently enrolled students may enter any project completed during or after the second year of design studio. The undergraduate and graduate student entries will be judged separately. Each entrant will need to check the appropriate box, indicating his or her status, on the online entry form. Include proof of enrollment with your submission. See below for details.

Provide proof of enrollment of the 2018-2019 school year via a scan of your student ID or a certification from NationalStudentclearinghouse.org. These files can be PDF, JPEG, or TIF. Please contact Shannon Mundy at shannon.mundy@kimley-horn.com with any questions.



Please upload your Design Essay (PDF) and Project Images (PDF) files in one Zip file. The Zip file shall contain these two files only and should be named with your Project Name. File size limit 30MB. If you have trouble uploading your document, try using another browser (i.e. Google Chrome). The file name should not contain any spaces or special characters.
A brief one-page essay in English (300 words maximum, .pdf format), describing the most important concepts of the project.
A compilation of images of the design (such as sections, plans and perspectives) should be submitted as one document in pdf format, with a maximum of 8 pages. The pdf must be 11x17. Any other presentation format will be disqualified.
Three separate high resolution images should be submitted in JPEG or PDF format. These images will represent the project in the Awards Book and the Awards Ceremony. The image should be 300 dpi or greater.
