Safety in the Fencing World:  Modifications for Codes, Rust Prevention, Gate Security & Design

This course will help you understand how to change fencing designs to meet project codes no matter the fencing materials used.  It will also go over rust prevention methods for steel products and what treatments are available for different styles of fencing.  Gate options will be discussed to ensure the best items are used for the project’s design to maintain a secure installation.  Lastly, the course will go over what bracket options are available for most steel fence companies to ensure the best option is specified which will reduce the onsite changes often times leading to breach of security, rusting or warranty concerns.  The lessons will be reviewed at the beautiful Japanese Tea Garden which has steel fencing installed.  We will  walk the perimeter of the venue to see what lessons can be learned before venturing the inside of the gardens to come up with solutions if fencing was to be used.  Some sketching will be done while we walk around the gardens.  All materials will be provided.

While backpacking around the world, Esti Karo worked random jobs in exchange for a place to stay.  One of the jobs was working on a powder coating line which was when the manufacturing side of products really sparked an interest.  In 2004, she started representing steel manufacturing companies for outdoor products, which included fencing.   Over the years, Esti always emphasized education and training in the industry as a way to promote better installations.  These training sessions are done for installers, contractors and specifiers.  As the National Sales Manager for Omega II Fence Systems, Esti is able to provide the courses all over the US and see the trends or concerns people have which makes it into the course as a lesson learned.
