ASLA’s Government Affairs department works to ensure that the landscape architecture profession is at the forefront of local, state, and federal policymakers. ASLA and the Texas Chapter supports and defends state licensure.  TheTexas Chapter has a paid lobbyest that monitor and advocates legislation that affects Landscape Architects.

ASLA’s Public Relations and Communications department is dedicated to advancing awareness and appreciation of the profession. Reaching millions of people each year, these efforts strengthen the profession and, in turn, your career.

JOIN US / BECOME A MEMBER OF THE ASLA


Full Member: National Dues $355 + Texas State Dues ($90)  - 
Individuals with a degree in landscape architecture and/or licensed to practice landscape architecture AND has three or more years of professional experience. Chapter dues are required for U.S. residents.

Associate Member: First Year National Dues $173 + Texas State Dues ($90) - 
Graduates from a landscape architecture program AND less than three years professional experience. National dues start at $173 for the first year followed by a graduated dues structure through the third year of membership; automatically upgraded to full membership after third year. Chapter dues are required for U.S. residents.

Affiliate Member: National Dues $355 + Texas State Dues ($90) - Individual that does not hold a degree in or license to practice landscape architecture but are employed in a related field or discipline such as planning, architecture, civil engineering OR a supplier/manufacturer of products/services to the profession. 

Student Member: National Dues $55 - Enrolled in an accredited landscape architecture program or a program recognized by ASLA, leading to a BLA or MLA or certificate in landscape architecture. Includes a one-year digital subscription to LAM. 

Student Affiliate Member: National Dues $55 - Enrolled in an unaccredited landscape architecture program or related course of study; or students considering a career in landscape architecture. Include a one-year digital subscription to LAM

International Member: National Dues $345 - Landscape architects who have earned a degree in landscape architecture, or are recognized by a government entity to practice landscape architecture, outside North America. 

Corporate Membership: National Dues $1,950 -  Any company that supplies landscape architecture products and services is eligible for corporate membership.
